First of all, thank you very much for this excellent software and the continuous development.
Unfortunately, I am having problems with the new version 2.0.2.
The CAT control on my ICOM IC-7300 transceiver no longer works as it did before.
The frequencies are no longer transmitted correctly. It seems that a small bug has crept in here.
Best regards,
Jürgen – DK6WJ
Thank you for the report! This is actually a known issue and has been added to GitHub as https://github.com/drowe67/freedv-gui/issues/1049.
THX K6AQ! That did it! I did receive a decoded transmission but haven’t made a contact yet. I’ll play with it and see how it is working. I’m new to FreeDV. I appreciate the quick fix!
K6AQ – It is working good now. The initial start is faster too. I just made a couple of contacts. Again, THX.
thanks
I tried to upgrade from Ver. 2.0.0 to 2.0.2. The new program immediately crashes when starting in RADEV1 modem mode. The other modes work fine. Ver 2.0.0 works in RADEV1 mode fine
Hardware:
Trigkey mini computer
Intel Celeron N5095A 64-bit
2.0 GHz
OS – Windows 11 Pro
CPU utilization is about 60-75% total with FreeDV using 20-25% running 2.0.0
Can you try to install the Visual Studio Redistributable (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170) and let me know if that makes any difference?
